I've made myself a DIY drill press stand with xy axis table recently, and I think it's good to share it here. :)
Here it is!

Here it is!
It's done by using 3 macro focusing rails, which I bought from ebay at only USD$11.90 each and some hard woods to hold them tight. 2 of them will act as XY table; while another one as drill 'press'. This orientation is mainly for milling and drilling purpose.
I also drilled another hole on the other side of the base for my second orientation. This way is better to cut long wood strip. ;)
Anyway, it took me sometimes to get use to my own tool... I started by making some miniature chairs for my Unicorn.
Horizontal orientation to cut long wood strip...
Vertical one to mill. Picture below shows the legs of a chair.
The result! :D
I prefer the left one, looks more like a chair for me.
It does help saving a lot of them especially when making a bunch of miniature stuffs. ;)
Tell me what you think!
Thanks for viewing. ^^
